LG's LTE push continues with global F70 launch

6:58 AM

You'd be forgiven if you had forgotten all about the LG F70. The mid-ranger was unveiled back at the MWC at the end of February, but it stood no chance of making a lasting impression as it came alongside the far more intriguing LG G Pro 2.

Anyway, the LG F70 has a mission of its own and that's to bring LTE and a solid smartphone experience at an attractive price point. Or at least that's what LG says as we are yet to see any information about the exact price of the smartphone.

What we do know is that the LG F70 is hitting European stores any moment now. Asia, Central and South America and North America are the next stops on its global tour, but again LG hasn't specified how much of a delay each of those markets will see.

If an LTE-packing smartphone with a 4.5" WVGA LCD, Snaprdagon 400 chipset with quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and 5MP camera is what you are looking for, you might want to keep an eye on your local retailers in the next few weeks. LG will even sweeten up the pot with Android 4.4 KitKat and its unique Knock Code feature.
