HTC One (M8) GPE and One (M7) GPE now getting Android 4.4.4

Google is now seeding the latest available Android version on the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) Google Play Editions. The 4.4.4 firmware, just like the previous 4.4.3 update, brings only bug fixes.

Check the official Android 4.4.4 change log:

• CTS test for OpenSSL’s early CCS issue (CVE-2014-0224)




• Fix a concurrency bug in OpenSSLHeartbleedTest.




• CTS test for Heartbleed vulnerability in SSLSocket




• Block access to java.lang.Object.getClass in injected Java objects

So, if you own one of the Google Play Editions of the HTC One, the Android 4.4.4 update is already available over-the-air and is probably waiting for you.

The new update comes less than a month after the Android 4.4.3 hit all compatible Google Play Edition devices, including the One (M7) and One (M8).
